The T^o Cool synthetic turf cooling system can lower your turf’s temperature down by 50^oF even during warm summer months. It’s perfect for artificial lawns that aim to provide unparalleled comfort not available anywhere else.

How Does T^o Cool Work?

T^o Cool synthetic turf solution works on the evaporative cooling principle – in terms we can understand - it helps to store moisture within the synthetic turf systems. When solar energy heats the turf, the evaporation process takes place. The solar energy, instead of heating the thermoplastic turf blades (aka Polyethylene, the primary material used to manufacture the fibers), is redirected to the water source, efficiently preventing the turf fibers’ temperature from going up.

Most common infill materials trap solar rays and heat the surface to 150-180 degrees. The T^o Cool eco-friendly, healthy, and cost-effective infill solution cools down synthetic turf by an applied principle of evaporative cooling. Testing has shown that the T^o Cool systems lower the surface temperature down by 30 to 50^oF.

T^o Cool also throws in the benefit of an antimicrobial additive, BacShield. What sets BacShield apart from other additives is its ability to not just clean the surface. BacShield is known to fight harmful microorganisms including bacteria, protozoans, viruses, and fungi such as mold and mildew.

Hundreds of volatile compounds of bacterial cultures produce a lot of smells, and mostly not ones we like. When these microbes come into contact with the turf surface, the antimicrobial agents penetrate its cell walls and disrupt key cell functions to limit microbial growth and reproduction.

How Hard is it to Apply T^o Cool?

Not at all! You can use a backpack sprayer for smaller applications, a tote-sprayer for medium to large applications, or a specialized automated “ride-on” equipment (available for sport-field applications) that will bring up the infill, coat it, and groom it back down.

Is T^o Cool a Good Investment?

Often, especially in pet turf applications, highly porous minerals are used to absorb ammonia. The problem is, these particles eventually reach their saturation point similar to what happens to cat litter. After reaching that point, the same minerals will not be able to do what it was intended to any longer.

One Last Thing

Please note that T°Cool™ Needs a Water Source. This technology stores moisture while the synthetic turf is being watered. As the temperature increases, the moisture is slowly released -- cooling the synthetic turf surface through natural evaporation. T°Cool™ works best in the summer months when the sun is at its hottest.  As more heat is absorbed the more the cooling effect is released. A ¼” watering tool can keep the turf cool for several days depending on various conditions.
