Are Your Favorite Stars Horticulturists? Check Out Their Backyards Here

We have officially entered the beginning of pool and patio season and Instagram’s about to blow up again. Maybe you were a bit complacent last year, so how about some backyard design ideas straight from the A-listers? We know we can’t really match these backyard bashes, (we’ll be lucky enough to get close) but we can always try, right?

Check out our Top 7 #backyardgoals, and see why you need to up your decorating game.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Backyard

Think about all the zen moments that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux shared together in this Bel Air backyard in LA. To further grace the serenity of the space, a koi pond complete with lilies has been added. Quiet waters and lush greens go hand in hand to create the perfect tranquil haven. Last we checked, their property was up for grabs at $75 million after their “heartbreaking” split in 2018.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry Backyard

We’re still trying to understand why Katy Perry wants to sell her Hollywood Hills mansion. The 4-bedroom, nearly 7500-square-foot Mediterranean-style main house is simply breathtaking and we wouldn’t have the heart to part with it (you know, if it were ours.)

The property is located at the end of a gated hewn rock driveway, guarded and concealed from prying eyes by an abundance of tall, large plants and trees. It has a pool with a lush lagoon vibe that just looks so darn irresistible. Seriously, if we had what it took to get this house, we’ll be packing our bags right about now.

Hilary Swank

Hilary Swank Backyard

Hilary Swank’s former LA home features an organic vegetable garden and a lap pool for cooling off during hot seasons. But the home’s major points ultimately go to its fire pit and wraparound seating. We can only imagine how many post-sunset celebrations have been held here because, really, if you had a place as pretty as this wouldn’t you want to spend all your time in it?

Khloé Kardashian

Khloé Kardashian

Large swimming pool + adjoining guesthouse = parties, parties, and more parties! What used to be Justin Bieber’s Calabasas mansion in California is now home to Khloé Kardashian. We can say that we’re impressed, but that would be an understatement. It seems as if this space was solely created for hosting parties and taking selfies to upload online. We’re guessing guests will have a tough time keeping their phones inside their pockets in this place.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore

Uh huh, this is a backyard. This is Drew Barrymore’s backyard. We’re not sure if we’re looking at synthetic grass or real ones, either way, we’re loving it! It’s simply stunningly close to perfect plus it has several gardens, avocado trees included -- try to beat that. It would be a dream to wake up, look out the window, and be welcomed with such a beautiful view. We love it in pictures, so we’re sure it looks way better in real life.

Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley

If there’s one thing that pops into mind upon seeing Keira Knightley's garden, that would be how spacious it is. It’s regal with a hint of Victorian -- you can easily picture Keira reading a book here somewhere while sipping on a cuppa. A light splash of color from flowers scattered all over the yard gives it a feminine touch that reminds you of all things bright and beautiful.

Julianna Moore

Julianna Moore Backyard

Last but not the least, we have Julianna Moore’s garden, which was featured in Architectural Digest. This private space is applauded for being able to successfully pair manufactured structures to rich foliage. The solid base provides contrast to the raised beds of ivy and boxwoods. With the abundance of trees inside the black fencing, you can't help but get a certain forest feel.

Different people have different styles. Turn these #backyardinspirations into the #instagarden you’ve been dreaming of. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll be featuring your backyard on this page.

And if you decide to start on that backyard of yours, do away with all the hassle and astronomical water bills (because let’s face it, even if we had that kind of money—which we don’t—we wouldn’t want to spend a chunk of it on water and gardening, right?) by investing on synthetic grass! Our products aren’t only for the rich and famous, so get a quotation now! (link to quote page)

Now you can get the lush scenery without frills! Go ahead. Dream bigger!
