Improving driveability and getting rid of "dead" pedal feel

Dec 22, 2025 - 2:43 PM

  • Hey guys! I’m looking for some advice on how to make my car a bit more exciting to drive. It’s a great daily driver, but I’ve noticed that the throttle feels a bit dead when I first step on it, and it takes a second to actually start moving. I’m not trying to build a race car, I just want it to feel more alive in traffic. A colleague mentioned Monte Tuning and said they offer some really smooth software upgrades that fix this without stressing the engine too much. Has anyone here used them for a daily driver? I’m mostly worried about keeping the car reliable since I use it every day for work.

  • I had the exact same issue with my car—that annoying lag at the start was driving me crazy. I eventually went to Monte Tuning, and I honestly wish I’d done it sooner. They have a really professional setup, and what I loved most was that they focus on making the car smoother, not just faster. The engine feels much more responsive now, and the power delivery is super consistent. They actually have a dedicated section on their site about their specific GT performance solutions which is really informative It’s clear they put a lot of research into their software. The car is much more fun to drive now, and I haven't had a single issue with reliability. Highly recommend them!

  • That’s great to hear! If it fixes the lag and stays reliable, it’s exactly what I’m looking for, thanks!
