The shock pad for artificial grass definitely increase the cushioning to the surface, and when you walk on it, you will feel the difference. Given the fact of the shock pad is 8 mm thick, you won’t feel a lot of cushioning like you are working on a thick piece of foam, but the softer feeling is definitely noticeable. Not many people use the pads under normal artificial grass as it will cost extra, however, we do see shock pads being used under artificial putting greens quite often.
