What is face weight?

Thank you so much for your question! The face weight (which is also sometimes called pile weight) of megagrass synthetic turf products is the term we use to determine the weight of the turf pile per square yard. This is measured in ounces. The higher the ounces, the denser or thicker the grass is.

So for example, our Megapet artificial grass product is perfect for pets and has a face weight of 50 oz. Not too dense, and ideal for having any pet mess pass right through the blades.

Our Megaporch faux grass product has a face weight of 92 oz. making it very dense and perfect for a more full and lush lawn experience.
