It depends, some people never will have to add more infills after initial installations if the artificial grass is not used much or there is no potentials of loosing the sand infills (such as on a slope, water can wash off some of the sand infills from time to time). If you don’t see you are losing any infills, you don’t need to worry about adding it. As far as the purpose of the infills:
- Give extra weight to the artificial grass surface to minimize the expansions and contractions during temperature changes.
