How can weeds grow from turf if the soil is replaced during installation?

This is a very interesting question. People have noticed that weeds will find anywhere to grow, we all have seen them even growing in between concrete groves. With the sub base for artificial grass built with drain rocks and decomposed granite or other finer top layer, there can be a possibility for the weed to grow, however, they won’t be growing wildly rather being spotty and will be easy to pull out. We have seen weeds growing at the edges of the turf installations and very rarely on the turf itself.
