What strategies do you recommend for integrating artificial turf with existing natural landscaping elements to create a cohesive outdoor space?

We always recommend to build a solid base for our artificial turf installations. Installations of turf starts with a good design: first you will need to figure out the areas that turf to be installed, then remove the existing landscape in those areas and excavate the soil by 2-4 inches; install gravels and decomposed granite (or similar) while compacting along the way.
