I am an expert cloud engineer based in Southeast Asia; at present, I work predominantly on AWS platforms, although Alibaba Cloud is gradually becoming a topic of interest as our organization moves into new markets. It’s something that I would like to try my hand at, but I want to know how much is the demand before getting into any preparation for it.

Alibaba only holds a small slice of the global cloud market overall, which made me a bit hesitant at first. It's dominant in specific regions, especially across Southeast Asia, so the global number may not matter here. Is demand actually spreading beyond the usual China and Singapore conversation, or is that still where most of the real opportunity sits?

I came across some info on Alibaba Cloud Certified Professional certification global trends here: https://www.certboosters.com/alibaba/path/acp
while trying to figure this out, and it got into a few markets I hadn't really thought about as active for this certification. It also touched on where hiring is heading as Alibaba expands its infrastructure. This is the part I care about most, as I want to know whether I'll be certifying ahead of the curve or catching up to where demand already is.

Has anyone actually seen real hiring movement tied to this cert recently, especially outside the obvious markets? Is this translating into real roles, or is it still mostly talk?
