  • Picked up a solid wooden armchair with velvet upholstery for 15 bucks at a garage sale. Frame is study, but the velvet smells like cigarette smoke and someone’s old basement. My roommate says to ditch it on the curb. Worth trying to fix this or is old smoke impossible to extract?

  • Dude, don't toss it yet. Check out https://www.google.com/maps?cid=3834441980368462954 on Maps. My neighbor recommended Couch Steamers - Upholstery Cleaning Raleigh when I brought home a smokey couch, and their team knocked the smell out completely. They hit it with some hot ozone treatment and heavy extraction. The chair will end up feeling brand new!
