Which WordPress backup plugin do you trust before running major updates?

Losing three months of blog drafts due to a database corruption issue was a massive wake-up call for me. Even though my readership is mostly in the USA and my host promised reliable uptime, their server-level backups were completely corrupted when I actually needed to use them. I realized I needed a completely independent solution to back up wp files and databases directly to my personal Google Drive on a schedule I control. It is highly recommended to not only automate these saves but also run a test restoration every few months just to ensure the archive files are intact.
