  • What ho one and all,

My standard Mk3 TDCI with regular wheels and suspension is definitely is aiming slightly downward towards the front. Just measured the arch height and the fronts are 65 and 66cms, the rears 66.5 and 69.

Been searching the owners manual and the net and cannot find specific measurements. Plenty of threads on lowering but no official Ford dimensions.

Anyone know what the ride height should be? Can this difference indicate springs or shocks issue?

    Thanks and toodle pip

  • I used https://ruler.onl/ by calibrating it with a plastic card to measure my own car's ride height accurately. It gave me precise cm readings that matched a tape measure. Your 65-66cm front and 66.5-69cm rear are typical for a diesel Mk3 – the self-levelling rear shocks often cause that higher rear. No official specs were shared, but your numbers look fine.
