Just wanted to share a quick win with you guys because I'm honestly feeling so much better about our warehouse situation now. A few weeks ago I posted about being worried about chemical storage and not having proper containment in place, and a bunch of you recommended I stop messing around with those flimsy trays and invest in real bunded units. Well, I finally took the plunge and ordered a few of the four-drum spill pallets after doing some research. I spent a good amount of time looking through the options at https://www.crateco.ae/productlist/spill-pallets-uae and honestly the variety was a bit overwhelming at first, but I settled on the high-density polyethylene ones with the removable grates because they seemed like the best balance of durability and ease of cleaning. They arrived last week and we got them set up in our main chemical storage area, and I've got to say, the quality difference compared to what we had before is night and day. The sump capacity is generous enough to handle a full drum leak, the grating is sturdy and doesn't flex under weight, and the forklift pockets make moving them around actually practical. We had a small drip from one of our oil drums yesterday and instead of panicking, I just watched it pool in the sump and felt relieved that we finally had proper containment. I know it's not the most exciting thing to spend money on, but considering the environmental fines we could face and the safety of our team, this was money well spent. Anyone else made the switch recently and feel the same way?
