  • I'm very excited about my upcoming move but am concerned if I should bring my diesel truck or trade it in for a gasoline engine. I know that I will need to by a block heater, and oil pan heater and good snow tires, change out the oil and coolant as a minimum. I'm mostly concerned about the potential cold weather affects on the engine and gelling of the fuel. Any guidance and advice is very much appreciated.

  • Where in Alaska? What area are you moving from? All of Alaska isn't a frozen wasteland in the winter so without knowing where you're going it's hard to give advice.

  • A block heater, oil pan heater, winter diesel, and good snow tires go a long way up there, and swapping fluids early never hurts
During my last long-distance move, residential movers https://discountmoving.ca/ took a lot of stress off my plate, which made sorting out truck prep way easier
If your Colorado’s in good shape, I’d keep it and just outfit it for the cold
