  • Greetings! I want to create a classic Victorian look in my front entryway with some colorful mosaic patterns. Is this something that is difficult to install, or can a regular contractor handle it? I really want it to look authentic to the period of the house.

  • Hi! I am a huge fan of that classic Victorian aesthetic, but those intricate mosaic patterns are incredibly tricky to get right. If the spacing is even slightly off, the whole pattern looks crooked. I wanted a traditional black and white checkerboard with a border for my foyer, so I looked for specialists. I found Dream House Tile https://dreamhousetile.ca/ and they were amazing with the detail work. They provide some of the best tile installation services in Toronto and GTA and they really respected the heritage look I was going for. They have over fifteen years of experience, so they handle those small mosaic sheets with a lot of patience. My entryway is now the first thing people notice when they walk in, and it looks like it has been there for a hundred years.
