I got into comparing prices of everyday stuff like Coca-Cola when I was traveling and noticed how something so basic could cost totally different depending on where you are. It actually started as a joke, like I bought a bottle in one country and thought it was cheap, then a week later I paid almost double somewhere else and it caught me off guard. After that I started paying more attention to these small things because they kind of reflect the general cost of living in a place. I tried to keep track mentally but it gets confusing fast when you move between countries or even cities. That’s when I realized it might be useful to have some kind of reference instead of just relying on memory.
