Hey everyone! I’m pretty good at the initial hi, how are you,
but after a minute, things just get awkward and the dialogue dies out. Does anyone have tips on how to keep a conversation going without it feeling super forced?

I totally get that feeling - the dead air
is the worst! I actually just read a really helpful post about this on https://blog.wedaf.com/blog/how-to-keep-a-conversation-going/ and learned that the secret is all about flow
rather than just constant talking. According to the blog, one of the biggest mistakes we make is overthinking our next move, which kills the natural rhythm. I learned that instead of trying to impress the other person, you should focus on being genuinely curious and using follow-up questions based on what they just said. This creates a natural progression. It also mentioned that giving super short answers is a conversation killer because it doesn't give the other person anything to work with. Now, I try to expand on my thoughts and stay present in the moment rather than planning my next sentence in my head. It really takes the pressure off!
