The majority of contacts saved or shared from WhatsApp are stored in VCF files. This is a useful method for sharing contacts between phones, but organizing them in a spreadsheet can be time-consuming.

That’s why many people convert WhatsApp contacts from VCF to CSV. A CSV file opens easily in Microsoft Excel, where you can arrange phone numbers, filter entries, or clean up duplicate contacts.

If the backup contains only a few contacts, manual conversion might work. But when the file includes a large contact list, it’s easier to use a converter that handles the structure automatically.

I had a similar situation while organizing a WhatsApp contact backup. I used WholeClear VCF to CSV Converter, which loaded the VCF file, showed all the contact fields, and exported the list into CSV so it could be sorted and managed inside Excel.
