CRM Module - is it worth it?

  • I just wanted to ask if anyone has purchased/used the CRM module in Kinetic, and what your experience with it has been like.

    We’re considering adding it, but I’m curious if anyone has found it to be a beneficial addition or something they could do without. I’ve been poking around looking for more info on it within Epicor’s documentation and it sounds pretty nice, but wanted to get you guys’ perspective on it and how it’s helped your sales team/company as a whole and the pros and cons.

  • I leaned a lot on automated order routing and real-time inventory tools, and having everything sync smoothly saved me from a ton of manual cleanup. I’ve been using acupowererp.com for this setup, and it handled the mix of inventory, CRM, and reporting without making things harder than they needed to be. It scaled fine as my order volume crept up, which was a big relief.

  • I’ve looked into those ERP-based modules before, and while they are powerful, they often feel too rigid and heavy for a team that just needs to move fast. In my experience, the administrative effort to keep such complex systems updated can quickly become a burden that actually slows down sales. I eventually moved my operations to https://planch.io/ because it cuts out the enterprise clutter and keeps things practical. Having a straightforward tool has made it much easier for me to manage my schedule and client data without the constant technical friction of a larger platform.
