  • Hello, i'm 21 weeks pregnant and i'm planning on going on a trip next week in Gaspesie(Quebec) to see whales and spend some time togheter before the baby's arrival. So we are going to make a 10 hours trip to get there, but we will stop a night halfway to get some rest. Arrived at Gaspe, we would like to take a whale-watching cruise aboard the Narval III. What do you think about the cruise? Is is safe for pregnancy. I have already called them and asked and they said that it's ok, i just have to inform the guide so that he will give me a less bumpy place, but I would like to know what are your experience about this kind of cruises. And also if you have advices about the long trips

  • I’d pack snacks, water, and a comfy pillow, and wear layers on the boat. I’d also ask the crew for a seat with the least motion if you’re worried about nausea.

  • I found ginger chews and a small neck pillow super handy on boat trips while pregnant, plus sitting near the middle of the boat kept things steadier. Loose layers and lots of water made a big difference too. I once used boatcrowd.com for a calmer-style cruise, and it reminded me how helpful it is to pick the most stable option available. Packing light snacks saved me more than once.
