Hello! This is my first post here, and I hope you can give me some advice.
I work as a manager at a plant that produces flocculants and water treatment products.
One of these products is polyaluminum chloride, which must be filtered after each PAC reaction (the reaction of hydrochloric acid and aluminum hydroxide).
This filtration produces a sludge, which we essentially dispose of through an external contractor. We do not use this sludge.
This sludge still contains a small amount of aluminum, and my goal is to find a better use for it and, essentially, get my money back.
I've read many articles about PAC sludge, but none of them mention recycling it.
I tried sending it to the reactor, but it only caused me trouble.
We also produce aluminum sulfate at the plant (from sulfuric acid and aluminum hydroxide).
