  • Picked up a Ryobi drill set a while back and everything was fine until the battery suddenly wouldn’t hold a charge. It flashes like it’s charging, but then dies after a couple of minutes of use. I registered it online and reached out through the warranty request form, but haven’t gotten a clear reply yet. Curious if anyone else has gone through this — did your battery get replaced or did you have to go through a dealer?

  • Strangely enough, mine did the same thing after barely a few uses and I figured maybe I was storing it wrong, but even a full recharge didn’t help. I browsed through ryobi tools reviews and saw quite a few people mentioning issues with batteries not charging or getting weak fast. One review suggested including both the tool serial number and proof of purchase in the first message, so I tried that in my second follow-up. A couple of days later, they replied with the return process and shipped a replacement not long after. Might be worth resending with extra info if they haven’t replied yet.

  • Not even exaggerating, your post just made my whole week better. I was deep in a rabbit hole of confusion until I hit your reply. Mad props, seriously.
