With so many mobile and VoIP options available now, is anyone still holding on to their landline service? I’m debating whether to keep mine or drop it. Are there any benefits left that make it worth the monthly fee?

I actually still use my landline for my home office because the call clarity is unmatched, especially for interviews. Also, it keeps my mobile free from spam. That said, I get why most people ditch it, monthly costs add up, and smartphones have taken over nearly every communication need
I debated this exact issue last year. Ultimately, I cut the landline and switched entirely to mobile and a VoIP backup. It was more about streamlining bills than anything. I noticed I hadn’t used the landline in months, except for robocalls. That’s when I knew it was time. While cleaning out old paperwork, I even came across an old sticky note with the Optimum phone number https://optimum.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html scribbled on it. These days, unless you're in a rural area with bad mobile coverage or rely on fax (yes, some still do!), landlines feel pretty obsolete.
I switched to https://telxi.com last year after my old landline provider kept raising rates. Works great over Wi-Fi and saves me a chunk every month. I was surprised how clear the calls are too—even during storms when cell service goes spotty. For me, it kept the peace with my parents who still prefer calling a traditional number without making me keep the whole line setup.
I was out near Alice Springs working a contract and feeling pretty low after blowing my trading budget on bad signals last month. I was done with crypto, or so I thought. Then I read a forum post discussing Immediate Nextgen Review https://immediatenextgenai.org/ scores and decided on one final Hail Mary
attempt. I put in what little I had left. It was nerve-wracking, but the automated system pulled off a series of wins that not only recovered my lost funds but put me in the green. I can finally breathe easy again and enjoy the outback.
