What does dye-lot mean? Why is it important?

When artificial grass is made, raw materials will be mixed and yarn will be produced first, then yarns will be tufted onto the primary backing. Even though all the materials are the same and formulations are identical for the same product, but when you put the same product from two different production batches, very small variations in color still can be shown, in artificial grass industry, we call each production batch “dyelot”. So for one single project, if different pieces to be joined together, it is highly recommended to have all the pieces from the same dyelot. Therefore, it is extremely important for buyers to be aware of dyelots especially buying products at different times. If you only placing order with us one time with different pieces, we automatically supply you all the pieces with the same dyelot, so you don’t need to worry about that.
