  • How long does artificial grass last? What should I do afterwards? Is it easy to replace? Are there any instances where the grass lasts shorter than it's intended lifespan? If so, what should I look out for to ensure it lasts as long as possible?

  • Thank you for your series of questions here! The lifespan for our artificial grass is between 15 and 25 years under normal weather and usage mainly referring to general landscape lawn applications.

At the end of your artificial turf’s life, all you need to do is to remove it and replace with new: this should be a easy task very similar to removing carpet, since artificial grass is made of polyethylene and polypropylene, you can find a local plastic recycler to recycle it. When replacing the turf, you don’t need to redo the sub base, simply installing the new turf on the existing base makes this an easy process.

If you are living in extremely hot areas, the lifespan of your artificial grass can be shortened, in such cases, there is really no better solutions to this but to replace the turf.
