Technically artificial grass won't attract insects as it provides no conditions for insects to live on. One of the reasons that people are switching from real grass to artificial turf is to avoid the insects issues. You will find that artificial grass to be hygienic and free of bugs and insects immediately after you install it.
I do suggest you to keep your artificial grass lawn clean, dirt and other things that accumulated over time might provide inhabited environment for insects over time. However, as long as you keep your artificial grass relative clear of bulky items, you should never have insect or bug concerns.
That's good to know because I hate having insects in my artificial grass, especially ants because their bite kinda hurts.
