  • I have no idea about laying my artificial grass.

  • All artificial grass comes in rolled up, just like carpet. Being rolled up at the factory, all the fibers are pressed down and the tips of the fibers typically are pointing to one direction once you open up a brand new roll of turf.
Take two most common installations for an example to answer your questions:

    • Front yard: When installing artificial grass lawn in your front yard, the rule of thumb is to have the fibers' tips to face the street.
    • Back yard: When installing artificial turf lawn in your back yard, the rule of thumb is to have the fibers' tips to face the house. The above are only general rules or most common practices, in reality, there might have to be some alternations on how the artificial grass to be directional to which way due the the size and shape of your area and given the set width of artificial grass at 15'. Therefore, my suggestion is if you can follow the above guidelines, do so, if not, feel free to reach us so our experts can help you to figure out the best way to lay your turf, here is our Free Consultation Form: https://megagrass.com/pages/free-consultation

  • I have seen a turf installed which had fibers facing the house. Honestly, it looks so real! I didn't even notice that it was fake until my friend told me.
